It was earlier this week when I realised I had never posted the photos from last year's Showbus event, which was held at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. The location had led to some rather interesting itinerary for the day's visit. On one side you could be perusing the collection of preserved buses brought in for the event, and on the other side you could be riding up and down the railway tracks on one of the Centre's collection of railway carriages.
It was around late September (so about this time last year), and Autumn weather was picking up with the winds and the dropping temperature, but overall the weather held up pretty well on the day. One side effect from the weather was that the buses were confined to the paved sections of the site, as the fields opposite were too wet and boggy that if buses were to park there for the day they would sink into the mud, and the vehicle movements would turn the field into a massive mud patch.
Interesting to note this year's event was cancelled due to HS2 construction works near the event site.
