I went this year’s Imberbus event - this is my second time at the event, having been to the one in 2022 on the day of the train strikes.

Comparing to the 2022 event there were definitely many more people at the event this year - the queues were definitely longer, the buses fuller, and the overall atmosphere livelier. Perhaps the fact that the trains had been running had helped with bringing more people to the event.

Despite the much bigger crowds, the lost/abandoned village of Imber is still nice to visit, even if not for the array of vintage (and some modern) buses that shuttle you between Warminster, Imber and the surrounding villages throughout the day - a local brass band showed up and performed by the church, which had to time the performance as to not getting interrupted by the ringing of the church bells! You still have no phone signal in the vicinity of the village so depending on who you are it may be a good or bad thing.
